Meet Mike!

Mike Stanhope is new to the real estate profession, but he is not new to real estate. He is a retired Mechanical Engineer who, during the search for a new home in Western North Carolina, decided that becoming a real estate broker was a great way to facilitate that search. 

Mike and his wife, Donna, moved back to North Carolina in 2022 after selling their home in Atlanta. Mike grew up in Charlotte and claims North Carolina as his “home” state. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed his engineering education at North Carolina State University. He then returned to Charlotte and worked as a development engineer for 10 years before accepting a job in the Atlanta area developing flame-resistant protective fabrics. 

Mike has spent many weekends and vacations walking the trails and enjoying the many outdoor activities of Western North Carolina. He and his wife, a native North Carolinian, have strong connections here; in fact, they were married in the Buncombe County Courthouse. His search for a new home here is continuing.
